'Local Administrations and Migration' Certificate Program

Local Governments and Migration Certificate Program was organized in cooperation with Marmara Municipalities Union, IGAM-Academy, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung within the scope of MARUF on the GO. The aim of the program was to provide information to municipal officers in Turkey on international migration and migration governance, particularly on irregular migration and temporary protection, and to contribute to the development of the institutional capacities of the local governments in Turkey. Within the scope of the program lasted for 5 days, legal, financial and administrative aspects of migration governance, the roles, responsibilities and good practices of local governments, social cohesion models and practices at the local level, and international legal background, policies and developments in the field were addressed in interactive methods. The program was held online in Turkish. Municipal representatives who attend all classes received a certificate.
