Verónica Albarrán-Carrillo

Verónica Albarrán-Carrillo is a PhD researcher from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, where she works alongside civil associations in the development of an assessment tool of houses constructed for resettled communities in Mexico through the recognition of habitability patterns. Her research pipeline focuses on architectural and urban habitability and wellbeing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a master’s Degree in Projects for Urban Development. Verónica has worked as a research assistant in the Department of Territorial Dynamics and Wellbeing at the Iberoamerican University, as well as at international architecture firms Legorreta and IQ Real Estate, both as an architect and project manager assistant. She is currently involved in the research project “PIVOT: Re-visioning Peripheral Geographies: Strategies for Resilient Urban Development in the Global South”, a project led by Anglia Ruskin University, and also works as a Sustainable Business and Finance Analyst of the ITSMO Program in Mexico.
