Vaida Stankeviciene
Counsellor & Deputy Head of Mission, Lithuanian Ambassador to Turkey
Vaida Stankeviciene is the Counsellor and the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Turkey. In this position she is also responsible for economic cooperation between Lithuania and Turkey. Prior to taking on this position, V. Stankeviciene was the Head of Division of Southeastern Europe Countries in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was closely involved in Lithuanian bilateral cooperation with 13 other countries, including Turkey. She was also involved in coordination of a Lithuanian position on the EU enlargement process. Her work included three years in Budapest as the Lithuanian diplomat providing consular services.
V. Stankeviciene began her diplomatic career in 2012, with responsibility for EU affairs coordination. Before joining the diplomatic service, she held various executive positions within the Prime Minister‘s Office, which joined in 2004 after her work related with European affairs in other public institutions of Lithuania.
