Savaş Zafer Şahin

Prof., Head of Land Registry and Cadastre Department, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University

He was born in 1974 in Ankara. After graduating from the Department of City and Regional Planning, he worked as a city planner and project manager in various government institutions in Turkey. At the same time, he continued his academic career by doing master and doctorate on local governments and public policies. He started working as a facilitator in the early 2000s. He has contributed to senior government Strategy formulation and planning processes, as well as community development projects, while applying innovative techniques such as advanced statistical methods in facilitation. He still works as an academician and facilitator. In 2020, he was deemed worthy of the "Facilitating Impact Award" by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) for his pioneering role in the establishment and success of the Ankara City Council. He is still working as an academician at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. He is also the Vice President of the Citizens' Assembly of Ankara.
