Prof. Dr., Department of Meteorological Engineering, Istanbul Technical University

Professor of Meteorology and Disaster Management. Received his Master's degree in Atmosphere Sciences in 1987 and PhD in 1991 from University of Missouri, USA. Attended FEMA training in USA on Disaster Management, JICA in Japan, and Bournemouth University in England. Have publications on Atmospheric Sciences and Disaster Management. Served as consultant in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center and Turkey Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency. Civil Defense and KIZILAY Volunteer. Prepared and presented TV documentaries. He was the columnist of Hürriyet and Milliyet Newspapers. Currently a lecturer at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Department of Meteorology Engineering and Disaster Management Research and Application Center and advisor to the President at the Turkish Red Crescent Society.
