İlker Şahin

İlker Şahin graduated from Balıkesir University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics in 2005. He started his business life in 2006 by taking part in information systems projects and R&D studies in local governments in a private software company. In the same year, within the body of Balıkesir Municipality; he carried out the projects of creating an address information system, field studies, income increasing works, numbering works. In 2008, he joined the City Information Systems and Geographic Information Systems project team. Between 2009 and 2014, he worked as the project manager of City Information Systems. In 2014, he took charge in the management of Karesi Municipality Information Processing Directorate. Şahin, who took part in many projects between 2014 and 2019, worked especially on analysis of big data and business intelligence. As of 2019, he was appointed as the Head of Information Processing Department of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality.
