Halil İbrahim Yılmaz

Halil İbrahim Yılmaz was born in Rize in 1975. He completed his under-graduate degree at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1998 and graduate degree at Konya Selçuk University, Faculty of Human Resources in 2001. Mr. Yılmaz has started his career as a business administrator and maintained in landscape services. He had been the president of University Students’ Union between 1998-2000 and was a member of TOBB Young Entrepreneurs’ Ankara Provincial Executive Committee between 2009-2013. In 2019 he was elected as the President for City Council of Ankara, then re-elected in 2021. Since 2018, Mr. Yılmaz has been the Vice President of Istanbul Formula A.Ş. Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen’ Foundation’s Honorary Membership (2020), Turkish City Councils Union Board Membership (2019), Internet Media and Informatics Federation Advisory Board Member (2016), Young Turkey Breakthrough Project Coordinator (2001), Mr. Yılmaz is founder of the City and Environment Association (2018). Awarded for Leaders of Non-Governmental Organizations Serving for Ankara Certificate of Distinguished Service and Achievement (2020) and Participation Gold Medal by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) (2020). Mr. Yılmaz has become the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ankara Chamber of Commerce after the elections held in 2018 and still maintains his position. Since 2020, he has been the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of ATO IDEA Co. August 2021, he has started his position as an advisor at Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. He is married with 3 children.
