Project Advisor, Turkish-German Exchange Project on the Integration of Syrian Refugees, GIZ

Esme Bayar is a Project Advisor in the Turkish-German Exchange Project on the Integration of Syrian Refugees into Host Communities, implemented by GIZ. She has been at GIZ Turkey since 2019 having previously worked in the Community Centres and Local Initiatives Project and the GIZ Turkey Country Office. Prior to joining GIZ, Esme completed her Bachelor’s studies in German and Turkish literature at the University of Oxford and her Master’s studies in International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. She has British and Turkish heritage and is based in Ankara.
