Burcu leads the Circular Development team and coordinates ICLEI interoffice cooperation. With her team, she supports local governments’ journey for making circular economy opportunities a reality through evidence-based prioritization, development, adoption and implementation of inclusive policy interventions, peer-to-peer exchanges and resource mobilization. Burcu is a senior expert with 15+ years sustainable production and consumption experience in Germany, Asia and MENA. She is an environmental engineer, has a MBA and MSc. in environmental management and policy.
