20th Century Heritage @Risk

Workshop | September 9-16

20th Century Heritage @Risk, which will be held in partnership with Docomomo-TR within the scope of MARUF on the GO, is a preliminary event that aims to bring together MMU member local governments on a common platform and create cooperation on the protection of modern architectural heritage. Preliminary events will focus on examining the current situation in detail about our modern architectural heritage -which has been ignored for various reasons and lost due to disasters, legislation, or similar reasons- with local governments within the borders of the Marmara Region and stakeholders from Docomomo-TR.

During MARUF21, the panel consisting of Docomomo-TR and a group of experts participating in the preliminary events will both evaluate the current potentials of our modern architectural heritage and the threats it faces, and focus on possible collaborations in creating exemplary practices.

Anyone who works on culture, cultural heritage and conservation can apply to the workshops to be organized by the members of the Docomomo-TR local committee until September 1, 2021 at 17:00.

Participants: Experts, managers, or City Council members working on cultural heritage and conservation in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul district municipalities that are members of MMU, or City Councils of these municipalities.

Marmara Workshop:

Participants: Experts, managers, or City Council members working on cultural heritage and conservation in MMU member municipalities or City Councils of these municipalities.
